I spent 4 days at World Fantasy Conference in Baltimore. My first trip to this event was made extra special by my traveling companions, authors R.S. Beck and Ellen M. Morrissey. We ate too much good food, laughed a lot, met some amazing people, and learned more than we could ever have imagined!
I toured the USS Constellation, took a ton of photos, and many pages of notes, because a ship is likely to appear in the next book. RESEARCH, PEOPLE! (It’s a ship, not a boat. It’s a ship, not a boat.)
This crazy thing happened. I held forth on the “Ports in a Fantasy Setting” Panel — with people whose names other people actually know: C.C. Finlay, Jim Baell, & Scott Andrews. It was a blast!
All this was followed by wonderful time spent with friends old and new — David B. Coe, Juliet McKenna, and Brenda Clough.
Already saving my pennies to be at WFC2020 in Salt Lake City… 1cent, 2 cent, 3 cent…. here we go!
